PSYCHOANALYTIC INSTITUTE OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA'S OPEN HOUSE

Thinking about psychoanalytic training? Considering a doctorate in psychoanalysis? Come to the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California's (PINC) open house and learn about becoming trained in psychoanalysis in a warm, informal atmosphere. Join PINC faculty, administrators, graduates, and candidates. Bring your questions, friends, and colleagues.

PINC is an IPA member institution offering comprehensive psychoanalytic training. Training is available to clinicians with the necessary skills and experience, including licensed physicians, psychologists, and social workers. PINC's training model conforms to international standards requiring a candidate's personal analysis; attendance at theoretical, technical, and clinical seminars; and work supervision.

PINC also offers candidates in our training program the possibility of earning a doctorate in psychoanalysis. The PsyD curriculum's objective is to provide candidates with a critical overview of the central scientific, philosophical, and epistemological issues surrounding psychoanalytic inquiry and the advancement of psychoanalytic theory and technique. In addition to completing a certificate of psychoanalysis, students in this program write a dissertation under the guidance of a dissertation committee.

All of these issues will be presented and discussed at the open house on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 1616 Vallejo Street, San Francisco, 94163. We anticipate an informative and lively discussion. Supper will be served. If parking is a challenge, there are two large public parking garages on Union Street.
