SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & POLICIES

Impulse is distributed on the first of every month. Each issue includes events taking place in that month as well as the first 7 days of the following month (e.g. the November issue lists events from Nov. 1 - Dec. 7).

To be considered for publication, submissions must be received by the 10th of the month prior to publication (e.g. October 10 for the November issue)

Please review the following sections of the newsletter and decide what works best for you.

Appointment Book

  • List your psychoanalytically oriented educational or professional event.
  • To submit your event use the online events form.
  • There is no charge for listings in Appointment Book.
  • Please note that only organizationally sponsored events will be accepted. Individually sponsored events, such as consultation or reading groups, can be promoted in Classifieds.

Classifieds

  • List your psychoanalytically oriented jobs, internships, for sale items, announcements, consultation group openings, etc.
  • Email your ad copy as a text-only email using the online contact form with the subject "Classifieds."
  • The cost is $1 per word; $5 per picture. See below for payment details.

Event Spotlight

  • Promote your analytic event in more depth and detail than is possible in Appointment Book.
  • To reserve a specific month, contact Niki Clay at info@ncspp.org. After you've reserved that specific month, send your text to our Editor-in-Chief, Luba Palter, at lpalter@ncspp.org.
  • The cost is $150 for up to 150 words describing your event. See below for payment details.

Piece of Mind

  • Get greater visibility for your organization, school, agency, or group. Use this feature for a stand-alone discussion of your organization's mission and goals, or highlight your organization's work through an upcoming event.
  • To reserve a specific month, contact Niki Clay at info@ncspp.org. After you've reserved that specific month, send your text to our Editor-in-Chief, Luba Palter, at lpalter@ncspp.org.
  • The cost is $1 per word. Minimum 150 words, maximum 300. See below for payment details.

Payment Details

NCSPP will send an invoice with the total amount due. Payment is due upon receipt. Invoices may be paid via Paypal using a Visa or Mastercard or by check.

Refunds

Reservations for Piece of Mind and Event Spotlight that are cancelled thirty days prior to publication date will receive a full refund. No refunds will be allowed after this time.

Classified ads that are cancelled five days prior to publication date will receive a full refund. No refunds will be allowed after this time.

Those listing their services are responsible for remaining within the scope of practice of their license. The staff reserves the right to edit, abbreviate, or reject any submission. We make every effort to ensure accuracy with regard to content, phone numbers, locations, etc. However, we cannot be responsible for inadvertent errors that may occur. Liability is limited, at the staff's discretion, to either a correct reprint in the next issue or a refund (for classified ads). Impulse and NCSPP do not guarantee that offices for rent are in compliance with zoning ordinances or building codes and assume no liability in disputes between landlords and tenants.
