JOIN THE YEAR-LONG INTENSIVE STUDY GROUPS IN SAN FRANCISCO OR THE EAST BAY: "FINDING OUR FOOTING: CLINICAL DILEMMAS IN THE RELATIONAL FIELD"

This year we seek to mine the rich complexity of relational psychoanalytic theory for its unique perspectives regarding the dilemmas we encounter in our daily work. Relational perspectives contend that tolerance of uncertainty and the co-construction of experience are central to our understanding of psychological life. With this in mind, how do we find our footing on the constantly shifting ground of the relational field? How do we inhabit the region between the restrictiveness - and relative protection - of being "the one who knows" and the hazards of "wild analysis"? How do we address challenges concerning such issues as clinical authority, aims of treatment, somatic experience, impasse, enactment, dissociation and new technologies? The class is limited to 15 and is filling fast! Click here for further information.
