26TH NCSPP ANNUAL EVENT WITH MICHAEL SHOSHANI
For the 26th Annual Event, NCSPP is honored to welcome Dr. Michael Shoshani (Rosenbaum). Dr. Shoshani will explore the relationship between perverse psychic formations and the ability to develop a personal identity and mind of one's own. In this event, Dr. Shoshani will draw on his book Dare to be Human (2009), as well as on theorists Bach, Bion, and others, to demonstrate how therapeutic practice can transform the language of perversion into the language of love.
Psychoanalyst and SFCP President Dr. Robin Deutsch will join Dr. Shoshani in dialogue and bring a relational perspective to her consideration of his presentation. Dr. Thomas Zurfluh will present case material that provides an opportunity for clinical context. Participants are encouraged to engage with questions and clinical anecdotes.
