COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
NCSPP's Community Service Award honors the many individuals in our community who are dedicated to using psychoanalytic ideas and approaches outside the traditional private practice setting. These are people who train clinicians, work in community mental health, provide services to the poor, and fight for human rights.
This year's winner, Ms. Linda Zaretsky, has worked in an outpatient mental health clinic in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco for the past 30 years where she continues to think about issues of social justice as well as the internal worlds of her patients and herself. Linda also has a private practice and is a clinical consultant for clinicians working in the SRO hotels in the Tenderloin. Congratulations, Linda!
