From The Editor

by Luba Palter, MFT

Happy Holidays!

Whatever you celebrate, dear reader, I hope you were met with warmth, beauty, and deliciousness!

Let's talk about what changes and what remains at Impulse in 2025.

My time at Impulse has come to an end. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with our small but mighty committee, collaborating with our talented writers, and putting my writing into the Impulse universe. But now, I am looking for the next Editor-in-Chief. Consider this post as an invitation for interviews and inquiries about this position. You can reach me at lpalter@ncspp.org. I have committed to stay until we find and train the next Editor-in-Chief.

Impulse was my first experience of putting my writing into the world. So, if you are shy and unsure if you can do this, I can relate and am here to tell you that my experience is proof of a pleasant surprise.

Our gifted writers have committed to stay for the whole of 2025. You can expect more musings from Lisa Koshkarian, Ph.D., Christi Baker, AMFT, Claire Greenwood, MFT, and Lila Zimmerman, MFT. This time, I am not proposing a theme for them but encouraging writers to go where their imagination takes them. I look forward to what is to come!
