NCSPP is excited to invite you to our 2026 Annual Lecture. Jamieson Webster, Ph.D., clinical psychoanalyst, author, and professor, will present her work “Psychoanalysis in Times of Catastrophe.” This year’s event will be both in-person and online, making it accessible to remote participants.

Dr. Webster will explore how psychoanalysis engages with political and social crises, drawing on historical texts from Sigmund Freud’s work on Woodrow Wilson to Erik Erikson’s reflections on post–World War II America. We will examine how catastrophe, breakdown, and fantasy shape political life and analytic practice. Dr. Webster will be joined by Francisco González, M.D., PINC Community Psychoanalysis co-chair and personal and supervising analyst, for a live dialogue on ethics, neutrality, and the analyst’s role in turbulent times. Moderated Q&A will follow.
