THE UNSEEN: BREAKING BARRIERS AND BUILDING BRIDGES:
COMMUNITY PSYCHOANALYSIS INTO THE FUTURE
Our presenters, Kimberlyn Leary, Francisco Gonzalez, Daniel Gaztambide, and Paula Kliger will be in conversation with each other and the audience. Preview a snapshot of their thoughts about community psychoanalysis by clicking this link.
The wars around the world, COVID-19 pandemic, climate crisis, displacement of refugees, economic and political turbulence, and racial injustices, challenge us to leverage our expertise, resources, and ethical responsibilities for the betterment of society.
In this two-day hybrid conference, featured speakers will explore the intersection of the personal and social unconscious, and how psychoanalytic clinicians must engage with the socio-political world. A short film, We Are Human First, will serve as a catalyst for deeper conversations about psychoanalytic applications beyond the consulting room. Participants will share reflections in a reciprocal learning environment. We will engage in lively discourse with the aim of legitimizing community psychoanalysis as a vital component of psychoanalytic institutional training.
