It is vital for psychoanalytic therapists and aspiring analysts to appreciate the evolution in our understanding of "unconscious," and how we currently work with this core and defining concept of psychoanalysis.

In the upcoming (2017-18) Intensive Study Group the significance of the term "unconscious" as unfolded in the pioneering thought of Freud, Klein, and others (along with the transference-countertransference dynamics that are the focus of clinical work) will be examined and expanded to include contemporary (modern) ideas and applications to bridge old thinking to new.
If you are considering registering for the upcoming ISG, this introductory Midsummer's conversation is an opportunity to bring your questions and thoughts about the year of studying these ideas to two of our instructors: Dr. Dawn Farber (East Bay) and Dr. Israel Katz (San Francisco).

We hope you will join us in beginning our dreaming and deconstructing the evolving "unconscious."
