Target Audience & Level: 

This is a salon-style event where curated pieces of writing with psychoanalytic themes will be read, with some discussion at the end. There is no reason to exclude anyone on the basis of psychoanalytic knowledge or experience, and we would like the event to attract people who may have an interest in this kind of writing and who are not clinicians.

Cancellation & Refund Policies: 

Enrollees who cancel at least SEVEN DAYS prior to the event date will receive a refund. No refunds will be allowed after this time.  Transfer of registrations are not allowed.

WRITING MINDS: New Psychoanalytic Reading Salon

Course Overview: 

A reading salon of “new psychoanalytic writing” featuring the recent winner of the NCSPP Annual Writing Award, Liza Veale, LMFT. She and Laura Rivera Rodriguez, LMFT, Finn Sonder, AMFT, Clare Knudson, PhD, Lila Zimmerman, LMFT, and Mara Gerson, PsyD, will read curated essays and poetry, followed by discussion.  This event, focused on building community among early-career clinicians, is sponsored by the journal fort da as a way to support new voices and to mentor writers looking to publish in the psychoanalytic field.
