Piece of Mind

by Milena Edwards, PsyD

California College of the Arts Counseling Services offers four postdoctoral psychology interns an opportunity to receive excellent training and experience working with a diverse student population of aspiring artists. We provide from 10 to 30 sessions of psychodynamic therapy, as well as crisis intervention, consultation, and outreach. Using an integrative, contemporary relational orientation, interns respond to the wide-ranging concerns of creative students working in an intensive arts-based academic environment.

Diversity is a central value. Our students come from 25 countries around the globe, and are encouraged to explore and express their intersecting identities of race, gender, sexuality, religion, and national origin.

If you want to explore the interplay of psychoanalytic practice and creativity by working with patients who think outside the box and push you to find new ways to engage as a therapist, CCA may be the culminating training opportunity you are looking for.
